Obstacle courses can run 20–50+ ft long. Confirm you have enough linear yard space before booking.
Clear the entire run
The full length of the course needs to be free of furniture, toys, and debris before we arrive.
Check your gate opening
Have gate and path clearance measurements ready — the entry width and full route to the setup area both matter.
Flag the full path for obstacles
Stairs, slopes, or tight corners along the entire course length can affect setup. Mention any at booking.
Outdoor outlet within 50 ft
Required to power the blower that keeps the course inflated throughout the rental.
Adult 18+ on site at delivery
Someone must be present for setup, the safety walkthrough, and sign-off.

Who Should Book a Backyard Obstacle Course in Chicago?
Older kids, competitions, and mixed-age backyards
Obstacle courses are the right call when your guest list skews older (ages 6+), when you want something competitive, or when a standard bounce house just isn't enough. They work well for birthday parties, end-of-school celebrations, block parties, and family reunion setups where you need one piece of equipment to keep a mixed age group moving for hours.
Space is the real constraint
Courses are long. If you are on a tight city lot, call with measurements before you fall in love with a specific unit. We will tell you what fits — or what to book instead.
Setup takes longer than a bounce house
Bigger footprint means more anchoring points and more crew time on site. Plan your party window with a realistic buffer so kids are not eating cake while we are still finishing walkthroughs.
Gate Access & Path to the Backyard
Obstacle courses are the largest units we deliver, so they generally need a gate opening of 48 inches or more — and a clear, fairly flat path from the truck to the setup area. Stairs, steep slopes, tight turns, narrow walkways, landscaping, or any route that would force the unit through the house can stop delivery even when the gate itself is wide enough. Measure your narrowest clearance point and tell us about any path obstacles when you call so we can confirm delivery before booking.
