What Should You Rent for a Graduation Party?

Obstacle courses
A longer, more active run — useful when a lot of people want a turn at something besides standing around. Courses need a clear length of yard and a wider delivery path, so measure first and confirm the unit.

Bounce N Slide combos
Choose a combo when you want bouncing and a slide in one inflatable, without booking two units. These generally need more clear space than a bounce-only house.

Water slides
Pick a water slide for a warm-weather graduation party. You will need an outdoor hose connection, an outlet for the blower, and a spot where runoff can drain. Water slides are typically available from late May through early September.

Planning for More Than Just the Graduate
Graduation parties usually mix the graduate's friends with younger siblings, cousins, parents, and relatives who stay for food. Different rentals do different jobs: one main attraction gives people something to do, and seating or a tent gives everyone else a place to sit. Age and weight limits vary by unit — tell us who is coming when you request a quote, and we will match equipment to the group you actually have.
The graduate's friends
Friends often want something to do besides photos and food. A course or combo gives people a reason to get in the yard and take turns.
Younger siblings and cousins
Family gatherings usually include kids who are not the graduate. A bounce house or combo can give them a place to play so the afternoon is not only standing around.
Parents and relatives who stay
A lot of guests stay to eat and talk. A tent, tables, and chairs are optional if you want shade and seating — they are not required to rent an inflatable.

Space
Check the setup area for the unit you want, not how it looks in a photo. Most standard bounce houses need a roughly 15×15 foot clear space; most Bounce N Slide units need closer to 20×20. Obstacle courses vary in length — measure the full run and confirm that unit before you book.
Access
We need a clear path from the truck to the yard. Standard bounce houses generally need about 36–42 inches of gate opening; Bounce N Slide combos generally need 42–48 inches; obstacle courses generally need 48 inches or more. Stairs, slopes, tight turns, and narrow walkways matter as much as the gate — measure the narrowest point and have that number ready.
Power
Inflatables need a standard outdoor outlet within 50 feet of the setup area to run the blower. If your only outlet is farther away, call (773) 683-1400 before you add that rental to a quote.
Water
Only water slides need a hose. You supply a working outdoor spigot and a hose long enough to reach the top of the slide; the spigot needs to be within 50 feet. Water drains while the slide runs, so choose a spot where pooling will not be a problem.
Surface
Grass setups use stakes where permitted. Concrete or patio may require sandbags or weights instead. Tell us your surface when you request a quote so we can confirm the anchoring plan for the unit you want.
Finish Off the Backyard Setup
Graduation guests often stay to eat and talk, not only to use the inflatable. Tables, chairs, and a backyard tent are optional. Add them if you want seating, a food table, or shade — they are not required to rent an inflatable.
